Short Bio
Sounds like: "Angelic vocals with a little stomp." (Cadence Canada Magazine)
Angela Saini sweeps people away with instantly-memorable, toe-tapping country folk-pop infused with storyteller sing-alongs about courage and finding joy in surprising places. A 2020 Independent Music Award Finalist for "Best Alt Country" and 2017 Toronto Independent Music Award winner, she uplifts and inspires audiences with songs about second chances and empowering others. With several Canadian tours under her belt as well as treks across Germany, England and The Netherlands, the positive and upbeat songstress has been called “massively talented” by BBC Radio.
The Indian-Austrian Canadian artist has been heard on CBC Radio, Stingray, and Sirius XM across North America. She is most known for her sunshine-soaked song “Living on the Bright Side,” and has performed for festivals in Canada such as Home County in London, and The Philadelphia Folk Festival.
Angela is a prairie-raised, Toronto- based artist that launched her debut EP, "Cake and Callouses" in 2012. She since released another EP “Leap,” 5 singles, a live album, and her debut full-length, "Hope on the Stereo" in 2019. The journey continues with her latest singles, “In It For The Ride,” and “It’s Ok,” released in January 2023, seeding a path to her sophomore album later this year.
